Conservation Programme :
Desilting and cleaning of springs:Activities such as cleaning, desilting and restoring of water bodies were carried out by the GSBB as part of the IBD- 2013 celebrations.Thewater bodies were identified based on prior surveys for richness of Biological diversity and community dependency. The preliminary survey revealed that these were highly polluted and silted and needed urgent attention. So with the prior permission of concerned authorities,the water bodies at Cuchelim (Bardez), Navelim (Bicholim), Dhave (Sattari) and Shel (Sattari) were cleaned and desilted.
